Beth Enjoys the Arts

When you think of all the things that make up our local culture, several things could come to mind - art, history, and music, places such as museums, local shops and restaurants, or sporting events are just a few examples. The people who enjoy these things and attend these events also make up the local culture. A friend of mine from St. Joseph Home and I have been very busy recently enjoying some of the things our local culture has to offer.

The Green Space is Open!

This summer, St. Joseph Home residents, respite guests and day program participants have more opportunities than ever before to enjoy and benefit from the natural delights of the outdoors. Six acres in the northwest portion of the 33-acre campus have been transformed into The Green Space, offering a quarter-mile walking trail and a sensory lane, an enclosed picnic shelter, memorial garden, wetland-like areas and scenic overlooks.

Inspiring Art

Recently four program participants, Katie W., Angie, Katie G. and Sarah, received special recognition at the Art North competition. They were among hundreds of very talented artists who submitted pieces of art for consideration where only two dozen finalists were selected to exhibit their amazing work in the Westheimer Gallery at The Sharonville Cultural Arts Center November 17th through January 2018.
