Pillars In Action: Servant Leadership

Recently, Rick Theders was awarded a 2018 Voices of Giving Award by the Greater Cincinnati Planned Giving Council.  He has been an unwavering force here at St. Joseph Home.  Not only has he provided professional guidance as the Chair of our Board of Trustees for the past two years, but he also serves as a faithful and ever present volunteer at our Adult Day Program.  Prior to that, Rick served on our Board as a member as well as being the Chair of our Development Committee.  At any given time, Rick is always willing to pitch in on any activity, from volunteering at our annual 5K fundraising event ‘Incline to the Finish Line – Walk, Run Roll’ to writing a letter to our donors about why he and his wife, Ann, have chosen to roll over their Required Minimum Distribution to benefit St. Joseph Home as well as their church.  In addition to his considerable gifts of time, Rick continues to be a generous financial partner to our community.  Our residents and staff consider Rick to be a very important part of the St. Joseph Home family.

Rick and his wife, Ann, have chosen to make a planned gift to the St. Joseph Home community.  He notes, “The residents have touched my heart and I see the beautiful work begin done every day….I not only want to support it now but also in the future.”  Rick’s legacy will allow us to continue the dignified, compassionate, caring and high level medical support our residents deserve.

On behalf of St. Joseph Home, Congratulations Rick and THANK YOU for all that you do for our Community!
