Celebrate Giving Back
Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week! We take this week to thank those individuals who have chosen to take time out of their busy schedules to become a significant part of our community. These individuals believe in the St. Joseph Home mission and out of the goodness of their hearts come to support it and ask for nothing in return.
We welcome hundreds of volunteers each year who want to support St. Joseph Home in their own unique way. Every volunteer is different and we want the experience at SJH to fit what each individual is passionate about. We want our volunteers to be able to share something they love with our residents. The lives of our residents, respite guests, and day program participants are enriched by the caring individuals that have dedicated their time to our community.
The volunteers at St. Joseph Home create strong, lasting bonds with those they are spending their time with. The bonds and friendships created often make our volunteers enthusiastic about returning and staying involved. Whether it is planning a game of baseball on a Saturday morning or going for a swim with the residents; our volunteers continue to go above and beyond and for that, we are truly grateful.
Volunteers are an important part of any non-profit, but we believe that the volunteer experience at St. Joseph Home is unlike any other. SJH Volunteers are a part of a family and without them, we would not be able to offer the care and attention that our residents deserve.
St. Joseph Home would not be the special place that it is without the devotion of our volunteers. This week and every week of the year, we thank you.
